Logistics Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to lead our logistics division and drive efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective solutions for regional and international markets. The role will oversee transportation planning, carrier selection, and business development while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise transportation and delivery routes across road, rail, sea and air, selecting appropriate carriers and negotiating competitive freight rates.
• Support senior management in developing future logistics capabilities, including warehousing, trucking and integrated supply‑chain solutions.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and logistics partners to generate new business opportunities.
• Facilitate the transition of existing clientele to AOP Marine and Logistics where appropriate.
• Drive business development initiatives, expand the customer base and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Provide strategic recommendations on growth opportunities in warehousing, transportation and integrated logistics.
• Analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities and support the execution of long‑term logistics strategies.
• Monitor logistics performance through KPIs, identify improvement areas and implement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, health and safety standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics planning, route optimisation and carrier negotiation.
• Strong business development and relationship‑building skills with customers, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Ability to analyse market trends and develop strategic growth initiatives.
• Knowledge of regulatory and customs requirements affecting transportation and logistics operations.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on revenue, profitability and operational efficiency.
