Long/Short Equity Analyst – Global Semiconductor Sector (Dubai)

About the role

The position is a Long/Short Equity Analyst focused on the global semiconductor sector, based in Dubai. You will work directly with the Portfolio Manager of a boutique single‑manager hedge fund, contributing to idea generation, research, portfolio construction and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research across chip designers, foundries, equipment makers and the broader semiconductor supply chain.
• Generate high‑conviction long and short investment ideas supported by detailed financial analysis.
• Build and maintain comprehensive financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Monitor industry trends, technology roadmaps, competitive dynamics and supply‑chain developments.
• Present investment recommendations to the Portfolio Manager and support position sizing and portfolio construction.
• Track portfolio holdings, investment theses and risk exposures on an ongoing basis.
• Engage with company management, industry experts and channel contacts to obtain differentiated insights.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of equity research experience, preferably on the buy‑side with long/short exposure.
• Demonstrated coverage of global semiconductor companies or related technology hardware.
• Proven ability to produce actionable investment ideas and conduct rigorous financial analysis.
• Strong accounting, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for investing and public markets.
