Maintenance Technician – Elevators and Escalators

About the role

KONE is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a service mindset to deliver professional elevator and escalator support across the Middle East region. You will ensure equipment safety, performance, and customer satisfaction through proactive on‑site communication and reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships and provide accurate, real‑time updates on call‑out ETAs, work performed, and equipment status.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and execute unplanned service repairs.
• Identify site risks, take immediate corrective action, and follow escalation procedures.
• Maintain safety standards for equipment, end‑users, and site personnel.
• Execute planned maintenance visits, call‑outs, and service repairs within schedule and quality standards.
• Report work performed, submit timesheets, and keep service tools, van, and instruments in good condition.
• Provide regular updates to the supervisor and raise sales opportunities.

Required profile

• ITI/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Basic IT and digital foundation skills.
• 2–5 years of solid preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience with a reputable elevator company.
