Manager - Risk & Compliance

About the role

The Manager – Risk & Compliance will support the Vice President in developing and implementing risk and compliance policies across MAF Retail’s operations. The role ensures alignment with security standards, assists in risk identification, and contributes to crisis management and fraud investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Vice President in establishing and updating risk and compliance policies and procedures for all countries across MAF Retail.
• Coordinate with country teams to ensure alignment with security policies and procedures.
• Support the development and implementation of risk management initiatives.
• Contribute to recommendations and solutions for disasters and other crisis situations.
• Recommend improvements and new developments on risk and compliance systems.
• Analyse retail data and committee meeting information to prepare action plans.
• Participate in investigations of fraud cases such as employee theft, ethics breaches, corruption, and recommend resolutions.
• Ensure investigations comply with applicable laws, company policy, and industry best practices to reduce exposure to civil litigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in risk/compliance, with at least 2 years in retail.
• Experience in Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) compliance, Anti‑Bribery and Anti‑Corruption (ABAC).
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, governance, conflict of interest assessment, and fraud prevention, detection, and investigation.
