Mechanical Engineer – Dubai

About the role

LAADS CONTRACTING LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its on‑site team in Dubai. The role supports mechanical design, installation and coordination across interior fit‑out, MEP and civil works projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical designs and drawings for interior fit‑out, MEP and civil projects.
• Prepare technical specifications and verify compliance with ASHRAE, BS and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems.
• Supervise site works, conduct inspections and testing of mechanical installations.
• Support procurement activities, review vendor submissions and provide technical input to resolve on‑site issues.
• Maintain project documentation, prepare reports and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, MEP contracting or interior fit‑out projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of building services and MEP systems.
• Project management capabilities including planning, scheduling and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and safety‑focused mindset.
