Mechanical Engineer – Sustainable Building Services

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to deliver safe, durable and high‑performance mechanical designs for building services projects across the Middle East and beyond. The role focuses on integrating sustainable engineering practices, water‑saving technologies and energy‑efficient systems to create long‑term environmental and economic value for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering calculations and design HVAC, chilled water, ventilation and smoke management systems from concept through detailed design.
• Produce technical reports, calculations and engineering studies, and support equipment selection and system sizing.
• Develop energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions that comply with project briefs, client requirements and local UAE/GCC codes.
• Deliver complete design packages in line with project programmes and support project managers to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate design activities with internal and external stakeholders, attend client and coordination meetings, and participate in workshops, technical reviews and value‑engineering exercises.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g., CIBSE, ASHRAE, IMechE).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical building services design.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC codes and regulations for mechanical systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with HAP, IES Virtual Environment and Hevacomp.
