Mechanical Fitter – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team working on bridge systems, steel structures and other infrastructure projects across the UAE. The role involves assembling, installing and aligning mechanical components and equipment in line with engineering drawings and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, align and fit mechanical components, pipes, structures and equipment according to drawings.
• Perform fabrication activities such as cutting, grinding, drilling and fitting on construction and industrial projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical sketches and work instructions.
• Carry out maintenance, repair and replacement of mechanical parts and equipment.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling and positioning of components during installation.
• Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed work to verify compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Follow company health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.
• Report equipment defects, material shortages and technical issues to supervisors.
• Coordinate with welders, fabricators, mechanics and other trades to complete work efficiently.

Required profile

• High School certificate, ITI, Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Fitting trade.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a fitter in construction, infrastructure, industrial or oil & gas projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication details.
• Experience with mechanical installation, fabrication and maintenance works.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments and workshop equipment.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures and site practices.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding site conditions.
