MEP Estimation Manager

About the role

The MEP Estimation Manager will lead the end‑to‑end estimation and tendering process for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works across large‑scale construction projects in the UAE. This senior role combines strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen to deliver accurate, competitive bids while ensuring compliance with local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP Estimation team, allocating tender responsibilities.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV and other MEP systems.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and verify BOQ quantities against drawings.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyse project specifications to identify exclusions, inclusions, discrepancies and commercial risks.
• Prepare competitive tender submissions within deadlines and present final estimates to senior management.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Planning, Commercial and Project teams.
• Maintain an updated database of MEP material and labour rates and propose value‑engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of MEP estimation experience, preferably with major UAE/GCC contractors.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior or managerial estimation position.
• Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of UAE construction standards.
