Operations Manager – Logistics & Shipping

About the role

A leading logistics organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to direct international logistics, shipping, and trade activities. The role focuses on high‑volume container movements, especially Africa‑to‑global freight routes, while ensuring cost‑effective and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics, shipping, and international trade operations.
• Manage the movement of more than 300 containers per month, ensuring timely and cost‑efficient delivery.
• Coordinate Africa‑to‑global shipments and continuously optimise freight routes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with global shipping liners and logistics partners.
• Develop and implement shipping and trade‑planning strategies to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor shipment performance, resolve operational challenges, and uphold service quality.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless supply‑chain operations.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, and trade operations.
• Proven track record managing high‑volume container shipments.
• Established relationships with global shipping liners.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
