<h2><strong>About the Company</strong></h2><p>Al Boom Marine is a well-established marine and leisure company in the UAE, offering a wide range of marine products, equipment, water sports, and lifestyle solutions, with a strong focus on quality and customer service.</p><h2>&nbsp;</h2><h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2><p>The Optical Technician is responsible for lens cutting, glazing, fitting, repairs, order processing, stock control, and quality checks to ensure accurate and timely completion of optical orders.</p><h2>&nbsp;</h2><h2><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></h2><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3><strong>1. Optical Services</strong></h3><ul><li>Cut, glaze, and fit ophthalmic lenses according to prescriptions and frame specifications.</li><li>Perform frame adjustments and basic repairs.</li><li>Check lenses and frames for quality and manufacturing defects.</li><li>Assist the sales team in selecting suitable lenses for frames.</li><li>Process and deliver optical lens (OL) orders in the system.</li></ul><h3><strong>2. Stock &amp; Orders</strong></h3><ul><li>Order and maintain RX optical lens stock.</li><li>Conduct regular stock checks and replenish as required.</li><li>Follow up on daily and pending orders and provide timely updates.</li></ul><h3><strong>3. Quality &amp; Equipment</strong></h3><ul><li>Conduct quality checks before completed orders are handed over.</li><li>Follow equipment maintenance and safety guidelines.</li><li>Clean and switch off equipment at the end of the day.</li><li>Maintain workshop cleanliness and hygiene standards.</li><li>Report any damaged lenses, incidents, or technical issues promptly.</li></ul><h2>&nbsp;</h2><h2><strong>Job Requirements</strong></h2><ul><li>Relevant qualification or certification in Optical Technology is preferred.</li><li>Previous experience of at least 2 years in UAE is required.</li><li>Knowledge of lens cutting, glazing, fitting, and frame adjustments.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and quality.</li><li>Good organizational and teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.</li><li>Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts when required.</li></ul>
