About the role

Join the pastry team at Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha as a Commis II – Pastry. You will work alongside the Pastry Chef to create a variety of high‑quality desserts and baked goods that enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pastries, desserts and baked items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist the Pastry Chef and team members in daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and rotation of ingredients and finished products.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food‑safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to guarantee timely preparation and attractive presentation of desserts.
• Support inventory management and stock rotation tasks.
• Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to develop skills.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery.
• Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking processes.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage time well.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Culinary diploma or pastry arts certificate (preferred).
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lb.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Passion for creating high‑quality desserts.
