Patient Admin Executive

About the role

The Patient Admin Executive provides front‑line support to patients entering the hospital, handling registration, billing, insurance queries and appointment coordination. This role ensures a smooth, courteous experience while maintaining accurate records and complying with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to appropriate departments and provide routine information.
• Answer telephone inquiries, manage callbacks and schedule appointments, including handling no‑shows and rescheduling.
• Register new patients, update existing records, and maintain the Hospital Information System.
• Explain insurance coverage, collect co‑payments, and provide claim forms for reimbursement.
• Process daily cash, credit‑card slips and cheque deposits, ensuring accurate financial handling.
• Generate and issue invoices for consultations, treatments and diagnostic tests.
• Respond to emails promptly and handle patient complaints in a professional, confidential manner.
• Adhere to NMC regulations, infection‑control policies and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Hospital Information System (HIS).
