Patient Admin Executive

About the role

The Patient Admin Executive ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients visiting Amala Medical Centre. This role combines front‑desk duties, appointment coordination, and financial processing to support clinical teams and maintain high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to the appropriate department, and provide routine hospital information.
• Handle telephone inquiries, relay messages to doctors or nurses, and manage callbacks.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule appointments and manage no‑show follow‑ups.
• Register new patients, keep existing records up‑to‑date, and maintain confidentiality.
• Explain medical‑insurance coverage, collect co‑payments, and provide claim forms for reimbursements.
• Process daily cash, credit‑card slips, and cheque deposits in line with finance protocols.
• Maintain working knowledge of the Hospital Information System, clinic timings, doctor rosters, and booking procedures.
• Respond to email queries promptly and ensure consistent adherence to hospital policies.
• Handle patient complaints professionally, ensuring privacy and timely resolution.
• Generate and issue invoices, statements, and assist patients with payment options.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow shift schedules.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement and adherence to NMC and JCI regulations.
• Attention to detail in data entry and financial processing.
