Pediatric Occupational Therapist

About the role

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will assess and treat children to improve daily living activities, restore physical function, and prevent disability. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the therapist will develop individualized programs that promote active, healthy lifestyles.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Provide evidence‑based occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, assistive device training, and modality application.
• Supervise and support junior therapists and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, policy reviews, and equipment recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a current DHA‑approved license.
• Minimum two years of post‑certification clinical experience in pediatrics.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Functional assessment and treatment planning.
• Joint Range of Motion (ROM) and manual muscle testing.
• Application of therapeutic modalities at appropriate dosages.
• Use of assistive devices and CPT coding for documentation.
