Plumber / Technician – Hotel Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Technician to join the Engineering team at Desert Islands Resort & Spa. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel's plumbing and water systems, ensuring guest comfort, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
• Respond promptly to plumbing requests and emergencies in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, and back‑of‑house areas.
• Repair or replace pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, pumps, water heaters, and other fixtures.
• Identify and fix leaks, blockages, low pressure issues, and other plumbing defects.
• Conduct regular inspections and complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and parts used.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow hotel health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Support other engineering and maintenance activities as assigned.
• Participate in energy and water‑conservation initiatives and suggest cost‑saving measures.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of hands‑on plumbing experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Ability to respond quickly to guest concerns and emergency situations.
• Good physical stamina and the capability to work in varied hotel areas.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and service quality.
