PMC Engineer – Commissioning Electrical

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Engineer to lead electrical commissioning for an ADNOC on‑shore project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supervising, reviewing and coordinating all electrical pre‑commissioning, commissioning, energisation, start‑up and handover activities performed by the EPC contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor electrical commissioning activities on site, ensuring compliance with ADNOC requirements, project specifications and HSE standards.
• Conduct technical reviews of EPC contractor deliverables and coordinate with vendors, construction teams and operations.
• Manage the safe energisation, start‑up and handover of electrical systems, adhering to IEC, IEEE and NFPA standards.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, progress reports and interface logs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical commissioning within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC procedures, HSE regulations and international electrical standards.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in a multi‑disciplinary environment and liaise with EPC contractors and client teams.
