PMO Information Security Project Manager

About the role

Valuesoft Dubai is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead information security and data‑protection initiatives for a UAE‑based client in the BFSI sector. The role combines Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver secure technology solutions while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day information security project requirements, including scope, schedule, budget and resources.
• Collaborate with IT, PMO and business stakeholders to define and implement security controls aligned with organizational policies.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, and support backlog management and prioritisation.
• Ensure applications and technology solutions comply with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, UAE IAS, SWIFT CSP, GDPR and local data‑protection laws.
• Drive measurable control improvements and promote a culture of risk awareness.
• Coordinate with contracts, vendor management and compliance teams to meet third‑party security requirements.
• Oversee project budgets, staffing, contracting activities and manage external vendors and auditors.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience in information security and data‑protection project management within the BFSI domain.
• Proven track record of leading security and cybersecurity projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate both technical and business discussions.

Required skills

• Application and technology security architecture and design principles.
• Cyber‑threat assessments, SDLC, firewalls, vulnerability scanning and application security.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, UAE IAS, SWIFT CSP, GDPR and UAE data‑protection regulations.
• Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint, JIRA, Asana.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, PRINCE2, PMP, RMP, Agile PM, PMI‑ACP (preferred).
