Primary Teacher – August 2026 Start

About the role

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join its IB World School community starting in August 2026. The role involves delivering high‑quality lessons, supporting diverse learners, and contributing to a culture of innovation and international‑mindedness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging primary lessons that cater to different learning styles.
• Create and maintain curriculum records, attendance, assessment plans and teaching resources.
• Teach students with varied needs, including ESL, late‑entering, low academic ability, gifted and talented.
• Utilise media and technology effectively in the classroom.
• Promote student well‑being, provide academic guidance and monitor behaviour.
• Communicate regularly with parents, Ministry of Education officials and other external partners.
• Participate in appraisal, CPD and performance management processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching materials, pastoral care and co‑curricular programmes.
• Lead or support extra‑curricular activities and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified primary teacher with experience in an international or IB setting.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learner groups.
• Strong classroom management and record‑keeping skills.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with parents, colleagues and external agencies.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to school policies.
