About the role

Bybit is looking for a Principal Backend Development Engineer to lead the design and implementation of its high‑performance trading core. You will work in a fast‑moving, global team to build scalable, low‑latency systems that serve millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the backend of the trading core system.
• Maintain, upgrade, and optimise the platform to handle high concurrency and low latency.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and documentation.
• Research and adopt cutting‑edge technologies, shaping the future architecture of the platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong business sense with the ability to propose feasible solutions.
• Experience in large‑scale project foundations and application architecture design.

Required skills

• C++ with solid knowledge of libraries such as folly and boost.
• Proficiency with NoSQL caches and message queues (e.g., Redis, Kafka).
• Experience using search engines like Elasticsearch.
• System analysis, design, and code refactoring expertise.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, high‑traffic architectures, and performance tuning.
• Background in full‑stack technical leadership, trading system construction, or memory system development.
