Project Director

About the role

Surbana Jurong North Asia is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major and complex infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on providing senior leadership in Independent Verification (IV) and Independent Supervision Consultancy (ISC) environments, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, quality, safety and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for complex project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as senior point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, authorities and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with scope, programme, quality, safety, standards, regulations and contractual requirements.
• Oversee project performance, risk management, resources and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, construction supervision, project controls, commercial and other technical functions.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support client engagement and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20+ years of professional experience in project management, engineering, construction or consultancy.
• Proven experience leading Independent Verification (IV) or Independent Supervision Consultancy (ISC) assignments.
• Track record of successfully delivering large, complex infrastructure projects.
