QA Engineer - API Testing (Open Finance & Automation)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of Open Finance platforms within a leading banking environment. The role combines manual and automated testing of APIs, data flows and integration points, supporting secure and compliant financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute manual and automated test scenarios for Open Finance APIs.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, Rest Assured or PyTest.
• Perform comprehensive testing of REST APIs, integration services and enterprise data platforms.
• Validate data accuracy with SQL queries and database testing.
• Test event‑driven integrations, including Kafka messaging.
• Develop reusable scripts and continuously improve testing frameworks.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression and system testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners and vendor teams.
• Participate in defect triage, root‑cause analysis and release validation.
• Support CI/CD testing processes and ensure compliance with banking security and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• 5–12 years of experience in QA engineering, both manual and automation.
• Strong background in banking or financial services.
• Hands‑on expertise in API automation and data validation.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
