Quality Lab Technician

About the role

The Quality Lab Technician will perform laboratory testing and quality control on sand products to ensure they meet client specifications, industry standards and internal requirements. This position supports operational excellence by delivering accurate, reliable test results and helping maintain consistent product quality at the Liwa sand plant.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized tests on sand samples, including sieve analysis, grain size distribution, moisture content, turbidity and specific gravity.
• Perform API/ISO standard testing relevant to oilfield sand and record results promptly.
• Monitor incoming raw materials and finished products for compliance, reporting deviations and supporting corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory records, test logs and prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports in line with ISO/QMS requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and calibration of lab equipment, coordinating repairs when needed.
• Follow HSE policies, ensure safe handling of chemicals and keep the lab environment clean and hazard‑free.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams, communicate test results clearly and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Geology or a related field.
• 2–5 years of laboratory or quality control experience, preferably in oilfield services, sand processing or construction materials testing.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
