Regional Legal Counsel (Middle East, North Africa)

About the role

The Regional Legal Counsel will support the Regional Legal Director by providing comprehensive legal advice across corporate, commercial, governance and compliance matters throughout the MENA region. This in‑house position requires a commercially‑minded lawyer able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, NDAs and commercial agreements, including bilingual documents.
• Maintain corporate records such as memoranda, articles of association, trade licences, resolutions and filings related to director and shareholder changes.
• Prepare and execute documents for legal due diligence, new entity formation, corporate restructuring and dissolutions.
• Support the contract lifecycle management system to ensure proper implementation, submission and tracking of contracts.
• Contribute to regional governance and compliance programmes.
• Manage litigation and disputes, coordinating with external counsel as required.

Required profile

• Legal qualification to practice in a MENA jurisdiction and at least 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably within the GCC or broader MENA region.
• In‑house experience in an international, matrixed organisation is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including cross‑border transactions.
• Strong organisational, documentation, presentation and communication skills.
• Full professional fluency in English and Arabic.
• Working knowledge of data‑privacy and technology laws.
