Regional Modern Trade Manager

About the role

The Regional Modern Trade Manager will shape and implement the Modern Trade strategy for the UAE, driving sales growth and profitability across key retail partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Modern Trade business strategy and annual sales plans aligned with overall objectives.
• Manage and grow national key accounts, including major UAE retail partners, through negotiations and joint business planning.
• Drive sales, profitability, distribution, SKU listings, promotions, and in‑store visibility across Modern Trade channels.
• Oversee trade spend, promotional calendars, and commercial investments to maximise sales and margin.
• Monitor sales performance, category share, market trends, consumer insights and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure effective in‑store execution, planogram compliance, promotional implementation and product availability across store formats.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance and other functions to ensure product availability and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop Key Account and Merchandising teams through coaching, performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years progressive FMCG sales experience, with at least 5 years in a Modern Trade management role within the UAE Food & Beverage sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
