Restaurant Hostess – Arabic Speaker

About the role

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Fairmont Ajman. This full‑time position requires fluency in Arabic to welcome Arabic‑speaking visitors, manage reservations and ensure a smooth seating flow in a 5‑star beachfront hotel restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system: booking, confirming and updating reservations.
• Organise seating arrangements to optimise guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times and escort guests to their tables, providing menus and information on specials.
• Handle guest inquiries, especially for Arabic‑speaking customers, and coordinate with the service team.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby and dining area.
• Collect guest feedback and relay issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Uphold professional grooming and appearance in line with hotel standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Excellent customer service, communication and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm during busy periods and work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
