Road Engineer

About the role

WSP is looking for a Road Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support the design and delivery of major transportation and infrastructure projects across the UAE, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept, preliminary and detailed geometric designs for roads, highways, interchanges and related infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings and project documentation.
• Coordinate with utilities, drainage, structures, traffic and other disciplines to ensure integrated delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with local authority requirements and international standards such as AASHTO and DMRB.
• Support preparation of design reports, specifications and tender documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and contribute to value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5‑10 years of experience in road and highway design within an engineering consultancy.
• Proven track record delivering transportation, road and infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary project coordination and stakeholder management.
