Sales Director – Lighting & Building Technologies (Dubai)

About the role

The client, a leading lighting and building‑technologies company, is looking for an experienced Sales Director to lead the commercial organisation across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and export markets. The role covers the full commercial cycle from lead generation to order conversion and revenue collection, driving a data‑driven, high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall sales function and geographic teams in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and export territories, setting commercial priorities and performance targets.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Product Design, Supply Chain, Pricing, Finance and Customer Services to ensure profitable order conversion.
• Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy, translating revenue, margin and order‑intake objectives into actionable plans.
• Maintain a balanced opportunity pipeline, oversee CRM discipline, and ensure accurate sales forecasts based on system data.
• Build succession capability, mentor future sales leaders and manage the Estimation function through the Estimation Manager.

Required profile

• Proven commercial leadership experience in lighting, building technologies or related sectors, with a strong technical‑commercial understanding.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑country sales teams, key accounts and complex, high‑value projects.
• Expertise in pricing, margin management, pipeline and forecast management, and CRM governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of aligning sales with engineering, finance and operations.
