Sales Engineer – Maintenance Contracts for Fire Fighting Systems

About the role

NAFFCO is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to develop and manage maintenance contract opportunities for fire fighting systems in Sharjah, UAE. The role combines technical expertise with strong selling abilities to deliver high‑quality service and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities for maintenance contracts covering fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, foam systems and related equipment.
• Prepare commercial proposals, service scopes, quotations and contract documents in coordination with commercial and technical teams.
• Conduct pre‑sales technical assessments, site surveys and client presentations, translating requirements into viable maintenance plans.
• Maintain and grow relationships with clients, consultants and contractors; manage tender clarifications and negotiate contract terms.
• Support service delivery by coordinating with operations, spare‑parts and site teams to ensure timely mobilisation, scheduled maintenance, emergency response and quality work.
• Perform technical inspections, identify defects, recommend remedial actions and produce detailed service reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, local authority requirements and advise clients on regulatory and safety matters.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to business development through price modelling, lifecycle cost analysis and value engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience selling service contracts and maintenance solutions for fire fighting systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, foam systems, valves and alarms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client‑facing meetings and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Methodical problem‑solving approach with the ability to diagnose system faults and develop cost‑effective remedial plans.
• Organizational ability to manage multiple tenders, contracts and service calls while meeting deadlines.
• Customer‑focused attitude with attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality service delivery.
