Scholarships Executive

About the role

The Scholarships Executive serves as the primary liaison between students, sponsors, and the university, ensuring smooth administration of scholarship and sponsorship programmes. This role involves coordinating campaigns, managing applications, and supporting students throughout their academic journey.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for all scholarship and sponsorship requests, organise campaigns and distribute promotional material to raise awareness.
• Invite interested employers to school events and open days, fostering partnerships with potential sponsors.
• Monitor changes to scholarship terms and conditions, updating applicants on admission criteria and sponsor‑specific requirements.
• Provide applicants with information on employment contract articles and obligations as required.
• Inform students about sponsor benefits such as stipends, medical insurance, air tickets, health clubs, and mediate arrangements between students and employers when needed.
• Receive applications, screen them, arrange sponsor interviews if required, and follow up on post‑selection processes to ensure all steps are completed.
• Support university placement tests and handle related administrative tasks, including finalising candidate lists, collecting documents, scheduling interviews, and preparing placement reports.
• Ensure student enrolment in the appropriate programmes or internships stipulated by sponsors.
• Monitor student attendance and academic progress, alerting counsellors or sponsors of at‑risk cases early.
• Generate and communicate progress reports to sponsors and organise meetings between sponsors and their student groups.
• Arrange annual seminars and invite sponsors to university academic events.
• Liaise with the Finance Department on invoices and payments, following up on pending sponsor payments for students.
