Senior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join the finance team in Dubai, reporting directly to the Group Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow monitoring and ensuring compliance with VAT and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodic financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and KPI reports.
• Process payments via cheques, online banking and credit cards, and reconcile petty‑cash and credit‑card transactions.
• Maintain and file all financial documentation, both hard and soft copies, in the shared system.
• Prepare VAT returns, support VAT audits and ensure all tax compliance matters are up‑to‑date.
• Assist in payroll recording, coordinate with HR and obtain approvals for salary payments.
• Perform general‑ledger reconciliations against approved budgets and support cash‑flow projections.
• Coordinate with banks for daily operational transactions and support internal and external audits.
• Identify and suggest improvements to internal controls as directed by the Group Accounting Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple accounting tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
