Senior Architect – Data Centre (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our on‑site team in Abu Dhabi, supporting a high‑profile Data Centre project. You will work closely with the client, contractors, consultants and other engineering disciplines to ensure the architectural scope is delivered to the approved design and project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Syska on‑site for all architectural matters and coordinate with the client, contractor and project team.
• Review and approve architectural shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements and RFIs.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor quality and progress, and raise any non‑compliances.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, civil, MEP, ELV and other disciplines to resolve site issues.
• Attend technical and progress meetings, provide comments on contractor proposals, and prepare snag/punch lists.
• Review finishes, doors, partitions, ceilings, raised floors, waterproofing, roofing and other Data Centre‑specific elements.
• Support testing, inspections, authority approvals, project handover and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within an engineering or architectural consultancy.
• Strong site supervision and construction administration background.
• Proven experience on Data Centre, mission‑critical or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Good understanding of architectural coordination with MEP and structural systems.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes.
