Senior Area Sales And Operations Manager - DDF And Inflight - Travel Retail West

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Travel Retail West to appoint a Senior Area Sales and Operations Manager responsible for the business across MEIA, focusing on Duty‑Free (DDF) and In‑flight channels. Reporting to the Regional Director, the role will shape the retail business plan, profit‑and‑loss forecasts and a three‑year strategic roadmap while spending most of the time in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and achieve retail sales targets for the assigned area and major retailers.
• Conduct regular visits to key doors to ensure standards, identify opportunities and maximise sales and profitability.
• Prepare retail sales reports and ad‑hoc analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Execute retail activations at store level and coordinate with retail operations teams.
• Maintain overall brand appearance and exposure in collaboration with Sales, Education and Visual Merchandising teams.
• Recruit, manage and develop Sales and Education Executives, including succession planning and training.
• Coordinate with Corporate Account Managers and education partners on execution and results.
• Identify and advise on space and location opportunities, working with Integrated Marketing on airport initiatives.
• Monitor trade, market developments and competitor activity, reporting insights to the Regional Brand Director.

Required profile

• Extensive retail sales management experience across multiple countries, preferably within MEIA and travel retail, perfume or cosmetics.
• Proven track record of achieving multi‑site retail sales targets through leadership and development of direct reports.
• Strong negotiation and people‑management skills, with high emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.
• Ability to travel frequently and work primarily in a field‑based environment.
