Senior Buyer

About the role

CB&I is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its Storage Solutions division in Dubai. The role is a senior member of the supply chain team, responsible for sourcing commodities and services, evaluating bids, awarding contracts, and managing purchase orders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare contract documents, maintain a bidders list, and qualify new suppliers.
• Issue requests for quotation and evaluate bids for complex packages or commodities.
• Negotiate large‑value purchase orders for regional and international purchases.
• Resolve vendor claims or disputes and support budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor.
• Collaborate with local supply chain, operations, accounting, and engineering functions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior procurement staff.
• Recommend and implement improvements to procurement tools, systems, and software.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in procurement or purchasing within an industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex sourcing projects and vendor relationships.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and commitment to safety culture.
