Senior Cloud Engineer – Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform to help a Fortune 500 client launch a managed GenAI SaaS platform. The role is remote‑first, based in Europe, with a required overlap with Australian working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and initialise client‑plane data environments in GCP and integrate them with an existing Azure control plane.
• Design and implement landing zones, tenant onboarding patterns, and cross‑cloud policy guardrails.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery across all stages.
• Own Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform) and GitOps processes (Flux).
• Implement cross‑cloud telemetry and monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, and Telegraf.
• Define networking, security policies, and landing‑zone configurations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with GCP services (resource hierarchy, Organization Policy Service, IAM, VPC Service Controls, GKE).
• Experience with Azure services and Azure Lighthouse.
• Track record delivering multi‑tenant, multi‑cloud or hybrid solutions.
• Understanding of data residency and sovereignty requirements for regulated environments.
