Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Sener is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its Rail & Metro team in Dubai. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and assuring cybersecurity solutions for complex railway systems and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity engineering across concept, preliminary, detailed and IFC design stages.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity requirements, control specifications, threat models, risk registers and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct risk, threat, vulnerability and security impact assessments for railway and OT systems.
• Coordinate cybersecurity requirements across signalling, train control, telecoms, SCADA, OCC, MEP, power and other connected subsystems.
• Review system and network architectures, technical specifications and supplier proposals to identify and remediate security risks.
• Support verification, design assurance, security validation and testing activities throughout integration, installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and stakeholders and ensure traceability of security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, IT or related field.
• 12‑13 years of engineering experience, including at least 10 years in Rail & Metro environments.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering for safety‑critical transportation systems.
• Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and related standards.
