Senior Databricks Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Databricks Engineer to lead the modernization of our Databricks platform in Dubai. The role combines hands‑on development with strategic guidance, ensuring the adoption of advanced Lakehouse capabilities across the organization. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build robust data pipelines and ensure data quality and security.

Key responsibilities

• Lead modernization of the Databricks platform and drive adoption of advanced features.
• Design and deliver Lakeflow jobs, pipelines, and scalable Lakehouse solutions.
• Implement and optimize Unity Catalog, DQX, DB Genie, and AI/BI workloads.
• Establish engineering best practices, governance, and automation frameworks.
• Mentor teams and guide technical decision‑making across the organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data/platform engineering with deep Databricks expertise.
• Proven leadership in large‑scale Databricks or Lakehouse transformation projects.
• Strong out‑of‑the‑box thinking, problem‑solving, and deliverables leadership.
