Senior Distribution Equipment Operator

About the role

The Senior Distribution Equipment Operator is responsible for safely moving steel products throughout the production and distribution areas. You will operate a range of material‑handling equipment, ensure accurate tracking of material flow, and support the warehouse and shipping teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors and other handling equipment to transport steel products.
• Load and unload steel materials from trucks, conveyors and storage zones following SOPs.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement, stock levels and distribution logs.
• Perform pre‑operational checks, routine maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Identify and report damaged materials or equipment issues.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse and shipping teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce handling time.
• Respond to emergencies such as equipment malfunctions or load spills.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating material‑handling machinery, with at least 2 years in a relevant role.
• Experience in steel product handling and knowledge of safety standards.
• Familiarity with GCC work environments is a plus.
• High school diploma or technical certificate related to heavy‑equipment operation.
