Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to lead our global finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective internal controls. The role is fully remote and reports to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision‑making across diverse markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial‑control framework, overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and establishing close calendars and control checkpoints.
• Review general ledger activity, ensure accurate transaction recording, and supervise preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through reconciliations, investigation of unusual items, and timely corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and finance manuals, ensuring consistent application across entities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, act as primary finance contact for auditors, and manage audit findings and remediation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, aligning operational plans with financial targets.
• Oversee working‑capital management, including receivables, payables, inventory, and cash‑management controls.
• Drive finance‑system implementations, ERP upgrades, and process automation to improve efficiency and control.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in accounting, financial reporting and control environments.
• Strong technical accounting expertise combined with commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Proven leadership skills with a rigorous attention to detail.
• Ability to assess and implement new accounting standards and finance policies.
