Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Specialist – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Specialist. The role ensures the company complies with UAE regulatory standards, mitigates risk, and maintains a robust governance framework within the insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain corporate governance frameworks and policies across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements set by authorities such as CBUAE, SCA, DoH and DHA.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align governance structures with strategic objectives.
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of governance systems to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Oversee governance and compliance functions for branches and subsidiaries outside the UAE.

Required profile

• Significant experience (approximately 8 years) in governance, risk and compliance, preferably within the UAE insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of local and international governance practices.
• Ability to engage effectively with regulatory bodies and senior leadership.
