Senior Manager of Public Policy & Government Affairs

About the role

The Senior Manager, Public Policy & Government Affairs will lead Careem’s policy strategy for high‑growth verticals such as Pay, Food and Quik. Based in Dubai, you will shape regulatory approaches across multiple jurisdictions and act as a trusted advisor to both internal leaders and external government stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute public policy strategies for core business verticals.
• Navigate complex regulatory frameworks in the Middle East and ensure compliance.
• Translate business objectives into actionable policy positions.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with regulators, policymakers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends, public sentiment and emerging risks.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on government affairs.

Required profile

• At least 8 years (96 months) of experience in public policy, government relations or related fields.
• Strong analytical ability and risk‑prioritization skills.
• Proven experience managing stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives.
• Deep understanding of regulatory environments in the Middle East.
• Excellent communication and advisory capabilities.
