Senior MEP Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

Whizz HR is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer to lead mechanical, electrical and plumbing works on construction projects in Ajman. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle from installation through commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with UAE standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all MEP activities across multiple construction sites.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to align mechanical, electrical and plumbing works.
• Review and approve MEP drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, specifications and material submittals.
• Supervise on‑site installation, monitor progress, manpower and material usage.
• Conduct regular inspections, enforce quality standards and resolve site issues.
• Lead testing, commissioning, snagging and handover of MEP systems.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection documentation and technical reports.
• Ensure adherence to UAE construction codes, HSE regulations and project budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on MEP contracting and site execution experience.
• Proven track record in building/construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, codes and HSE requirements.
• Excellent leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
