Senior Project Finance Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Finance Manager leads the financial management of corporate projects, ensuring robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with long‑term business objectives. This senior position reports directly to the CFO and participates in the senior management team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial systems, policies and procedures to ensure consistent implementation and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and evaluate long‑range financial plans, goals and objectives for the organization.
• Research, analyse and interpret financial transactions, market conditions and legislative information.
• Maintain fiscal integrity of company resources and project cash‑flow forecasts.
• Coordinate with banks, consultants and other external partners on debt programmes and funding policies.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports for overseas projects.
• Oversee financial reporting systems, accounting processes and investment activities.
• Plan and direct risk‑management and insurance programmes to minimise losses.
• Monitor credit issuance, establish rating criteria and set credit limits.
• Represent the CFO in meetings when required.
• Control project costs, analyse variances and drive process improvements.
• Provide project‑based financial analysis and fiscal advice to support decision‑making.
• Lead risk‑identification, assessment and mitigation for project operations.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage implementation of new financial processes, policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee quarterly and annual audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead, motivate and develop the finance team while promoting health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or MBA in Accounting is an advantage.
• Extensive experience in project finance, financial analysis and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead senior‑level financial initiatives and manage cross‑functional teams.
