Senior Software Engineer – Facial Recognition (IT Group Security)

About the role

Emirates Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its IT Group Security team focused on facial recognition solutions. You will be a core member of an agile feature team, delivering secure, high‑performance software that supports the airline’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior technical engineers to analyse requirements and contribute to technical design.
• Translate technical solutions into low‑level design and production‑ready code.
• Write secure, optimized code following Emirates Group coding standards.
• Participate in rotational on‑call support and resolve production incidents within SLA.
• Ensure 100% unit test coverage and integrate code into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Identify and fix defects, apply refactoring practices, and minimise code debt.
• Implement logging and monitoring hooks in all developments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply learnings to improve code quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience, preferably in an Agile environment.
• Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining medium to large‑scale enterprise applications.
