Senior Software Engineering Manager

About the role

Dyson is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead its Mobile App teams in Dubai. You will provide technical and strategic direction for multiple scrum teams that build and maintain the MyDyson app, which serves millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Dubai app scrum teams, fostering a supportive and productive environment.
• Oversee the Build‑Operate‑Transfer (BOT) of key staff within the teams.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering Managers to ensure consistent approaches and robust support across all teams.
• Define a clear vision and strategic growth plan for the mobile engineering organization.
• Partner with senior peers and work with the SVP and Head of App to deliver global app objectives.
• Identify and introduce new technologies, tools, and practices to continuously improve standards.
• Vendor management and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in software/app development.
• Minimum 4 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong mobile engineering background as an iOS or Android specialist.
• Proven ability to mentor developers across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience leading multiple agile teams delivering to diverse stakeholders.
