Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Avantis Group is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for oil & gas offshore projects in the UAE. The role involves delivering robust structural solutions for steel structures, modules, pipe racks, foundations and offshore installations while ensuring compliance with international codes and classification society standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural calculations for steel structures, modules, pipe racks, equipment foundations and offshore structures to verify strength, stability and serviceability.
• Conduct and review advanced finite element analysis using ANSYS, STAAD, SAP2000 or equivalent tools to assess local and global behaviour, stress concentrations and load paths.
• Perform or review computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other specialist analyses as required for offshore projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust structural solutions that comply with international codes and classification society requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the design and analysis phases of oil & gas offshore projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structural engineering for oil & gas and offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and classification society standards.
• Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
