Sommelier (M/F) – Dubai

About the role

Join the vibrant team at Gloria Osteria Dubai, a flagship restaurant of the Big Mamma Group, as a dedicated Sommelier. You will be the wine ambassador, creating memorable dining experiences by pairing exceptional wines with our Italian cuisine.

Key responsibilities

• Guide guests through the wine list, recommending thoughtful pairings that enhance the culinary experience.
• Maintain and organize the wine cellar, ensuring proper storage conditions, FIFO rotation, and optimal serving temperatures.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, manage purchasing, and collaborate with suppliers to control costs and minimize waste.
• Train and support front‑of‑house staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and pairing recommendations.
• Contribute to overall Food & Beverage performance by supporting revenue and profitability goals.

Required profile

• Recognized sommelier certification (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, AIS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a high‑end restaurant wine program.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting guest relationships.
• Understanding of supplier chains and ordering processes.
