Sous Chef – Pan-Asian Cuisine at Buddha Bar

About the role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a motivated Sous Chef to lead the Pan‑Asian kitchen at Buddha Bar in Dubai. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure high‑quality dishes, creative presentation, and seamless service for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Determine food presentation, create decorative displays, and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Monitor food preparation quantities and inform service staff of menu specials or out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items as required.
• Assist cooks with tasks, provide necessary items, and maintain stock of kitchen supplies.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety and product quality.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any incidents or maintenance needs.
• Uphold professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• 4‑6 years of relevant culinary experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety programs and kitchen inventory management.
