Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our dynamic team at GEMS Cambridge International Private School in Sharjah. The role focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting students with diverse learning needs to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement inclusive strategies for students with SEN.
• Provide differentiated instruction and support to individuals or small groups, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments to identify SEN students and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with the SEN team and parents.
• Work closely with parents, teachers, and external specialists to create a collaborative support network.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions and accommodations to address diverse learning needs.
• Stay updated on best practices, research, and advancements in special education and inclusion.
• Promote a positive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and belonging.

Required profile

• B.Ed. or M.Ed. in Special Education, or equivalent bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated ability to share outstanding teaching practice.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with students, parents, and staff.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Desire to work in a world‑class school with career development prospects.
