Specialist Consultant Psychiatrist – Leading Healthcare Facility

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is expanding its mental health team and seeks an experienced Specialist / Consultant Psychiatrist. You will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for adult patients across a broad spectrum of mental health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans, including pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
• Manage acute psychiatric presentations and complex mental health cases.
• Provide ongoing follow‑up, monitor treatment outcomes, and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, and other specialists.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical meetings, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry (e.g., UK CCT, MRCPsych, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board).
• Relevant post‑specialization clinical experience in adult psychiatry, preferably in a hospital or multidisciplinary mental health setting.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.
• Sub‑specialty expertise (e.g., addiction, geriatric, consultation‑liaison, psychotherapy) is an advantage.
