Specialist HPD and ENC Database

About the role

The Data Specialist for HPD & ENC Database will manage the Hydrographic Production Database and Electronic Navigational Charts, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date marine geospatial information for safe navigation. This role works closely with hydrographic survey teams and marine operations to integrate survey data in line with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process, validate, and integrate hydrographic survey data into HPD and ENC products following IHO standards.
• Update and maintain marine geospatial databases to guarantee accuracy and availability.
• Support compilation, quality control, and submission of ENC updates to authorities and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with survey and operations teams to incorporate survey results promptly.
• Manage charting workflows, version control, and data dissemination for internal and external users.
• Ensure compliance with IHO, IMO, and regional hydrographic regulations.
• Compile, edit, and maintain ENC cells using approved charting and GIS software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Cartography, Hydrographic Surveying, GIS, Geography, Marine Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in marine GIS, ENC/HPD production, and hydrographic data processing.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain confidentiality.
